EduPASS Project – International Multiplier Event

EduPASS Project – International Multiplier-Event in Luxembourg

Development and Structure of European-based core modules for further education of Early Childhood Educators and Youth Sport Coaches

The International Multiplier Event (IME) of the EduPASS project, in which CEREPS is a project partner, took place on October 11, 2024, at the University of Luxembourg. The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andreas Bund, who presented the key points and objectives of the EduPASS project. The IME was attended by several international and national delegates of an EUPEA Seminar. Approximately 25 participants then discussed in three lectures the various EduPASS results and their significance for professional practice and education programs. The EduPASS project developed a modularized qualification program for Early Childhood Educators and Youth Sport Coaches. that serves as a European core curriculum for education and training.

As part of EduPASS, a comprehensive competence-based profile (knowledge, skills, attitudes, values) was developed for educators and youth trainers in sports. This profile served as the basis for a modular qualification program tailored to these target groups. Prof. Dr. Roland Naul presented the details of the development process and results.

An important aspect of EduPASS was the creation of an innovative online learning platform based on the competence profile and modular qualification program, providing access to high-quality further education through core modules. This was presented by Dr. Sebastian Brueckner, Declan O’Leary, and Dr. Biljana Popeska. Additionally, an evaluation tool was developed to ensure the quality of PAMPS offers for children (physical activity, movement, play, and sport), presented in detail by Assistant Professor Manolis Adamakis.

The event provided valuable insights into the project’s potential for physical education and sports, emphasizing the importance of informal and non-formal settings in shaping future education. A big thank you to all participants for their contributions to these stimulating exchanges.
